A 1971 graduate of Brown University with Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude honors in Math & Economics, Hirschfeld is a Trustee Emeritus of the University. At Brown, Elie was elected President of his Class in his senior year. He served as President of Brown Hillel in his sophomore year.
