Flashdance: The Musical
Based on the beloved Paramount Pictures film written by Tom Hedley and Joe Eszterhas, Flashdance: The Musical tells the story of 18 year old Alex, a welder by day and 'flashdancer" by night, who dreams of attending the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy.
The show features the smash hit song "Maniac" and the Academy Award winning track "Flashdance – What a Feeling", as well as "Manhunt", "Gloria", and 10 original songs created for the musical.
Flashdance: The Musical was written by Tom Hedley and Robert Cary, with music by Robbie Roth, and lyrics by Robert Cary and Robbie Roth. It opens October 14, 2010 at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End with direction by Nikolai Foster, choreography by Arlene Phillips, production by Elie Hirschfeld and musical supervision by Phil Edwards.
Victoria Hamilton-Barritt stars as Alex and Matt Willis plays the role of Nick.
