Oleanna
Oleanna, a two-character play by David Mamet, details the power struggle between a university professor and one of his female students, who accuses him of sexual exploitation and spoils his chances of being accorded tenure. Since it premiered in 1992, this brilliant play has ignited audiences and provoked passionate controversy.
Hirschfield Productions was involved in the 2009 revival of Oleanna, which opened in Broadway’s John Golden Theatre in October 2009. Julia Stiles played the role of Carol and Bill Pullman co-starred as John. Broadway veteran Doug Hughes directed.
